I am a teacher, an environmentalist and political activist. To me, life should be approached as a ‘question adventure’. The moment you stop questioning and searching for answers is the moment you have stopped participating in life. From birth children explore every inch and every moment of what is going on around them. As they get older this inspired participation may diminish if it is not nourished and supported. I have found that within the average educational environment teachers are intimidated by questions they do not immediately know the answers to. On the contrary, this should be an opportunity to demonstrate to their young charges that yet another adventure is about to begin. This blog will be talking about the good and the not so good aspects of education. It will also include children’s stories, poetry and a section on curriculum-based teaching units with supportive activities. Any comments or requests for articles and information will be very appreciated.
